In Am I in the picture? Zuzana Kakalikova explores the notion of self-portrait. Inspired by the photography of Francesca Woodman - and her gesture of self-emancipation through re-appropriating and staging her body - Zuzana explores her body, putting it in relation with objects and spaces through a series of tableaux vivants. Far from any glorifying exhibition, never seeking to hide her vulnerability, she bares herself while seeking her own image with sensitivity.
By fragmenting the representation of the female stereotype, she tries to break away from it and create another way of observing the intimate.

Dans Am I in the picture ? Zuzana Kakalikova explore la notion d’autoportrait. Inspirée par l’univers de Francesca Woodman, à l’instar de la photographe, Zuzana manipule des objets, transforme l’espace, explore son corps et crée une série de tableaux vivants. Loin de toute exhibition glorificatrice, ne cherchant jamais à masquer sa vulnérabilité, avec sensibilité, elle se met à nu en cherchant sa propre image.
En fragmentant la représentation du stéréotype féminin, elle tente de s’en détacher et de créer une autre manière d’observer l’intime.
